I'm out of town visiting my mother who had a stroke. I went to a local meeting AAbbut unfortunately there was just me and 2 other people in attendance. Right now I'm without transportation and feeling anxious and discontent. Just needed to get on here. Being out of my comfort zone is tough and I am sad to see my mother so down due to her illness. I'm not going to drink. It's not going to change the situation. Just needing some support.

Sorry to hear about your mom. Discomfort was a big trigger for me but I have learned that lots and lots of people deal with discomfort and anxiety without drinking. Therefore, I could to. Remember why you are there. Be strong for your mom.

Drinking always made my situations much worse and it sounds like you are having a lot to cope with already. I think it is wonderful that you are able to be there for your mother

Maybe you could get outside and go for a walk to get refreshed. Good for you for getting through this.
