Sober Recovery really works!
Thanks to the support, feedback, and words of wisdom, I went to work today, with 8 days clean from pain killers, and shaky and nervous.
Once I got there, I felt so much better, and it was nice not to worry who was checking out my eyes to see if I was using today... (I think I was a little paranoid when I was on all those pills)... much more serenity being clean and sober.
It is great to be back into recovery!

Congratulations on 8 days!
And freedom from paranoia... I know exactly what you mean. One of the best parts of being sober is not spending so much time worrying about what other people do or don't know about my habits!

I know what you mean about wondering what people think of your eyes. I love that now I can assume that they're thinking how white, clear and healthy they are. That's one of the many little joys I find each day of being free of alcohol, plus the new gained confidence.
