Hanging on the wagon tight!

Day One: Enrolled in SoberRecovery Forum. I know the shakes, and irritibility will begin tonight, I'm already itchy. Today is my day off and I know better than to leave the house or I will start up. I finished my beer and cheap cinnamon whiskey binge, after being sober for 9 days. I am not going to beat myself up. I see a pattern of feeling better and suddenly almost without my knowledge, I am buying the first 2 tall boys and 2 whisky. DONE.

Welcome. It can be a rough ol' ride to the greener pastures, but they await!

Hang on!

Hi, New Chicken!

Once I had made that resolve to be over it once and for all, I took all the steps to make it so!

The physical withdrawal only lasts a few days to a week. You can get thru this and come out sober and better off.

You would be safe leaving the house for an AA meeting.

All the best.

You can do this, NewChicken. I hope you'll feel much better soon. Then you never have to go back there!
