I am happy I did not drink. I have a really nasty cold though that started yesterday, feel terrible. But this could be a stroke of luck because I'm less likely to drink in this state. I realize I don't know anything at this point, and that stinks. At least I'm not out making a fool of myself.

I am going to see my GP today to tell him this stuff and get a round of blood work to see what's going on inside my body.

Weirdly, I never suffered coughs and colds when drinking heavily - it has always been during my attempts to stop that I get them. I put it down to being preserved like a pickle :-/

Thanks Fusion! And yeah it's funny, it's like the booze kills virus's. we used to joke that we could drink a cold out of our system in a night. Not to funny and if it backfired it would land me in bed for 2 weeks with a hoorrrible cold.

Back when I was a teenage druggie, my friends and I used to have a joke... "Viruses check out my system and think, whoo, this one isn't going to last long, better find someone fitter for a host!"

(we thought it was funny because we were 17 and still thought we were immortal!)

5 days is great congrats! I think going to the doctor is a great idea, it doesn't hurt to get checked out.
