What a train wreck I was when I came here, and for quite a while afterward too. But thankfully I had lots of support from the good people here and my addiction counselor and now have been sober over three years. And I used to be convinced I was hopeless.
What I'm saying is to never give up! To anyone reading this, don't ever give up on yourself. Living sober is possible, if you put in the effort.
I used to hate waking up, sick as hell and hating myself. Nowadays I wake up feeling good and ready for whatever the day brings me. I'm more responsible and careful and happier than I've been in a long time.
You can do this! Get whatever help you need from wherever you can find it and work like hell on changing yourself, it's worth the effort.
I love living sober!

You stuggled...many of us did. The main thing is that you kept getting back up. That's the key. No matter how many times you fall, you must keep getting back up. You are a true success story, least. You are such an inspiration to this forum. Putting your story out there helps others understand that they are not alone. They can beat this thing, just like you did.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication. You help all of us feel like we too can do this!

Thanks so much least for this post, gives me hope that I can get to a place such as yourself and you too Hevyn. Just reading them when you're on the way home from work after a bullsh*t day and adamant you're buying a bottle just gives you that little moment to stop and think before you ruin all your hard work. Makes realise people are on this site are always here to talk through whatever you think is worth a drink.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
