I don't use AA, but my suggestion is to not compare yourself to other people. Recovery is a very personal journey, so just focus on yourself.

I like your name. I've tried out some 29ers. I didn't really love them, but if I had the extra cash I'd probably buy one to play around on.

Well maybe but maybe not YET!! Yes some in AA have fallen deeper than I have but it's all YET in my opinion. I haven't _____ YET! I had a yet that happened when I drank right after rehab. It was horrible and that was the last time for me.

Like Anna said don't compare yourself to others just realize that you are there because you have a problem with alcohol that you are hoping to get a hold of before your yets.

Ah yes, the yets. I remember them well. Come to think of it, I don't really. That might have been one of them.. Anyway : It's a good idea to not drink.

Think about what you've missed out on because of alcohol. Even if you are "not as bad as" some people, alcohol has still prevented you, hindered you and effected you in a negative way.

There is always someone worse off than you, so probably not. Last week I met someone who was hours away from death, I couldn't beat that! Look for the similarities not the differences and everything you hear is only a 'yet' away. If alcohol is causing problems in your life you will get something out of AA.

Don't look at where you ended up, look at where you are heading!
