Hello I'm here to learn about addictions. I'm attending college for my Degree in Acohol and Drug Counselor. I lost my husband of 17 years to an overdose. He worked in Law Enforcement which was a very stressful job. I have use but not in the past 28 years. I have family members with additions as well. I'm hoping to help others with additions. Thanks!

Attending "open" AA and NA meetings is helpful too. At my old AA Home Group before I moved we used to always designate an "open participation" table for visiting nursing students etc., or family members of newcomers who needed someone to accompany them to their first meeting .
