Sleep in early recovery
Sleep in early recovery
I use an app on my phone that uses your movements in bed to give you rough estimates about how you're sleeping.
Check out the last month (my last drink was on Feb 13th). From a fairly steady pattern to total disruption:
You'll notice that after the first couple days (still nursing my hangover), everything went completely haywire. Going to sleep at crazy hours, sleeping restlessly, and sleeping in short bursts. I feel a lot better now but those things are still going on.
I share just it reminded me what kind of work our bodies are doing in early recovery... and that's true for all of us. So don't go hard on yourself if you're not on the go as much as normal. I know I'm not!

It's called Sleep Cycle... it's supposed to wake you up when you're not in a deep sleep. Sometimes that's true, sometimes not... but I find the data very interesting.
