How to help a friend in drug recovery?

So really, I have no "I've known this person for years" sort of story. Really, she's just a new girl at school like me. We're both hitting 18, she has less than a year to go and I have about 3. She came to Colorado for a fresh drug-free start on life, and I've only known her for a few months, but she seems really down on her luck. Doesn't have any legitimate friends at the school, and is starting to not see the point in why she's there, and is generally just losing hope, and I'm afraid she might fall back onto old habits.

I came across this site by chance, and to be honest I hardly know this girl, but I feel like I'm the closest thing to a friend she has, and I WANT to help her, I just don't know how. I can't say I know what it's like to fall back on drugs, but I do know what it's like to want to want the rest of the world to just leave you alone while you rot away. She really is a good person, and I think life's just thrown her the bad end of the stick.

I can't pretend that I know what she's going through, but are they're any tips on how to show her that there's still hope? That she shouldn't give up and that living her life is worth it?
