30 days today...by the grace of God!
This journey has been so long already just to get sober and I know I'm just at the beginning! Relapse sucks & I pray I never have to raise my hand as a newcomer again!
What I've done different this time around:
1) I attend a lot of AA meetings
2) I have an awesome sponsor that I call every day & she is walking me through the Big Book and the steps
3) I took a commitment at a meeting I attend *I'm the literature person & I bring the scrolls, books and literature every week to the meeting
4) I take phone numbers and call at least 1 other person in the program each day
5) I pray & try the best I can to turn things over to God
Above are just suggestions given to me from fellow people in recovery.
I know I'm an alcoholic and this recovery really is One Day at a Time!
