Got a little further to fall
Further to Fall
Dan Craig
Walk out onto that old dark road
The one that used to bring you down
You fall back onto the same old ways
But those were darker days you found
But still you go
It must be important to you
It must feel like nothing at all
When you're desperate for something to prove
You've just got a little further to fall
You've just got a little further to fall
You've just got a little further to fall
You've just got a little further to fall
You're backslid onto the curbs again
Where the words don't keep you warm
You hold tight onto a dead flashlight
Don't you wish you knew what for
Oh still you go, it must be important to you
Must feel like nothing before
When you're desperate for something to prove
You've just got a little further to fall
You've just got a little further to fall
You've just got a little further to fall
You've just got a little further to fall
But hold tight and pray like you know
That we get stuck sometimes, but these wheels will roll
These wheels will role
And still you go, you go
It must be important to you
It must feel like nothing at all
When you're desperate for something to prove
You've just got a little further to fall
You've just got a little further to fall
You've just got a little further to fall
You've just got a little further to fall
I feel this song relates strongly to me with my past addictions and behaviors.
I hope it can help someone today the way it has touched me.
It helps me to remember my determination and that staying sober and happy are so important and I hold tightly to this.
My counselor says I do not need NA meetings because I am not currently addicted. I think he's wrong; my addiction will always be there.
It's what I decide to do with it that is important.
With the power God has given me to endure through my past self, it will eventually fade but never be completely gone.
John 14: 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
