need a sponsor
Hi LaMusica,
Have you had a chance to make it out to meetings in your area? You can find someone at the meetings to sponsor you. Often meetings will have temporary sponsors who identify themselves as being available, or you can ask the secretary at an open meeting if they know of anyone who is available to sponsor. And if you have been to a few meetings, you may find someone who you are drawn to and who has a sponsor themselves and has worked the steps and had the spiritual awakening.
It's best to have a face-to-face sponsor - someone who is available, someone you just sit down and talk with and someone you can meet to do the work.
I wish you the best!

Go to Alcoholics Anonymous : or write to Alcoholics Anonymous, PO Box 459, Grand Central Station, New York NY 10163. If there is no group nearby, "you will be invited to carry on a correspondence which will do much to insure your sobriety no matter how isolated you are" (AA, 4th ed, p.573).
probably better to ask in the main "aa" room. (it's not really an AA room.........but it's as close as their is).

FYI, for some reason, new posts up here in the "step's" area don't always show up in bold so it's often a while before many of us see that there's a post here.
