A long road traveled
Hello my name is raquel ... Im not really sure how i ended up on this road im on but what i do know is its dark scary and very lonely. Unfortunatly its very familiar. Ive been here before please help me find my way out.im better then this . I deserve so much more my kids deserve to have a mom they could be proud of. I dont want to be here and im tired of the suffering i cause the people i care about im tired of the self pitty im tired of being on this emotional roller coaster im on im tired of the depppression and anger i feel inside im tired of feeling sick all of the time.i just want to be ok again i dont want to hurt anymore i have been fighting this battle for 20 years and i must admitt its starting to get the best of me, please help before its too late

Welcome Racquel! Glad you found us. You never have to feel this way again.
I was depressed all the time too, but now, almost 6 months without a drink, I don't feel that way anymore. Alcohol is a depressant, and it could be causing your depression.
Stick around, read and post, there are many roads to recovery.

Alcohol DID get the best of me. For twenty years. I found this place over five years ago and have been sober two. Please save yourself the misery and stop now, I wouldn't wish what I went through on anyone.
Do whatever you have to. I think of that first drink and where it'll leave me. Misery, anxiety and depression.
I hope you feel free to post here as often as you like. We're all here for you.
