Hi All
Fairly new here and I have learned so much in my short time here! What a fantastic group of people! The strength and support here is astounding to me, so I am reaching out tonight in hopes of some good mojo :-)

I am 45 days sober today and tomorrow am going in for heart surgery. It's not terribly complicated, but hell, it's my heart !!! :-)

First of all I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am that I stopped drinking 45 days ago and can face this clearly and with my full presence! Not to mention that I feel better than I have in years ~ I guarantee I would not have reached out for medical answers if I were drinking. I have surrounded myself with talented supportive physicians and my Mum is also here with me to help me through this rough patch.

If I could humble myself further to ask for your good thoughts, it would mean so much to me as the collective strength here is overwhelming!!

I appreciate every good thought you could send my way and when I am through this will be back here to offer whatever support I can to others... That I promise!

Kat60...sending good mojo, thoughts and prayers your way. Don't know if you talk to God but I do (all the time) he is probably tired of hearing from me but I know he listens.. I will pray for you. Any kind of surgery can be scary.

Hi Kat, I am new here, just joined today. Just a positive vibe to send your way - I personally know of six people (including my Mom) who have had heart surgery in the last few years and all of their procedures were not only successful, but I am still amazed at the speedy recoveries they all made. With you fantastic attitude, you will be up and running in no time.

Safe and sound and home! Feeling good and they tell me the procedure was a success!!! Thank you all so much for your good thoughts and prayers and now I am needing a shower and a nap in my own bed!! :-)

I'm glad the procedure was a success, but figuratively speaking, your heart's doing just fine.

In terms of the mojo, "you go girl, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!"

But in actuality, I am only guessing you're a woman by your user name. I don't know, but if it's the other way around, "you go dude!"
