Back Again
Hello SR Friends,
Just wanted to let you know I will be back posting again. I felt I needed a little break to think about where I was in my journey, and how I was doing mentally, physically, emotionally....
I have had a few glasses of wine with dinner the past few weeks, I never drank to the point of getting drunk, but did not like the pattern I was developing and knowing me, I could easily fall right back to the daily glass (bottle) of wine. So I am back to Day one, and know that for me accountability is key.
I am going to ask that anyone who has a comment keeps it positive, encouraging and supportive. The negativity I was reading in some posts was the reason I stopped posting to begin with, and I would like to feel that SR is a safe and supportive site. Some people may need that kick in the pants or "what were you thinking?", however, that will not help me to remain committed to this site and recovery.
I would like to thank Lola, who I have checked in with daily and will continue to, and also Pond Lady for checking in on me.
So I am back to Day One, but will not be tracking days, it made me crazy. I will be sticking with SR, reading, exercise, and anything else I need to remain accountable.

Welcome back Delilah!! That is very disappointing to me that people on SR would dare behave in such a negative manner.. my personal belief has always been that sobriety tends to breed two types.. those who gain an almost '6th sense' of compassion and understanding, and, some people wrongly choose to let an arrogance take over, and sadly, to define their sobriety... unfortunate thing about the latter, is that they are really just cheating themselves.. you just stick with those who have truly figured out what it means to find sobriety- loss of self-centeredness and, love in one's heart <3

You trust your gut to do what is right for you....whatever YOU need, it's your path and not anyone's place to tell you how to walk it.

Welcome back girly. I missed you. Sometimes I think it is good to just step back and take a look at where we are at. I can get caught up in going from one thing to another that I forget what day it is. Usually when that happens I try to relax, throw on some headphones and listen to a little music. I have faith in you!!

I think you did the right thing posting again, so very proud of you and everything you have accomplished since starting this journey last year. A few glasses of wine is nothing against your determination to be an even more amazing, wonderful person, if thats at all possible, cuz you rock Love you my dear friend xoxoxoxo!
