Not so subtle hint for encouragement

Does anyone find themselves wanting someone to give them words of encouragement and praise everyday (the more the better)?

I am forty something and feel like a little child - such a dork. lol

My sponsor kinda quit on me and we used to do that for each other. I miss that.

PreciousKitty, I signed up for several daily affirmation and quote of the day apps on my phone because I love reading or hearing something encouraging! Nothing dorky about that.

Here's my affirmation for today -
"I easily find good in myself and others."

For me, this post is a good reminder not only to seek encouragement for ourselves, but to share it with others. Thank you!

I find the way to getting encouragement is by giving it. It's also a wonderful thing to do for yourself. I found that re-connecting to myself and having a relationship with myself is very important to my growth. Looking outside myself for others to build me up is something I did my whole life, and it always ended up in disaster and resentment. Be gentle to yourself, and to others.

I relapse twice (one day relapses) and she said she was completely stepping away for a while. Then she got engaged and moved away. A lot of good has come from it though. I am looking for a sponsor who will really work the steps with me.
