getting out
I have been in treatment for 28 days now with about 9 left. I am in the process of preparing to deal with the real world outside of here. besides getting a sponsor and going to aa. Any "words of wisdom" for me?

Exciting but very scary. What kind of support do you have? The only way I made it is 90/90. For me it was really stressful, really quickly, and I had support and my circumstances were not too stressful at the time. Take things slow; be easy and forgiving to yourself; communicate with your HP everyday; eat very healthy; try to ge a bit of exercise everyday; and def go to 90/90. And remember at the end of each day, if is all you did was stay sober, you have made a major accomplishment.
Good Luck!

Hi sthurn - great to hear from you.
I agree that you should expect to be kind to yourself and take it slow. You may feel a bit fragile in the beginning, but things will change as you adjust to your new life. You'll most likely feel stronger and more confident every day. Congratulations on this wonderful accomplishment. I hope you'll check in here and let us know how it's going. SR will be a big help, too.

I'll second Kitty's "ninety meetings in ninety days." My wife and I did it, and we are over 100 days sober now.
If someone volunteers to be your sponsor, go for it! Maybe you'll find someone else later, but to start I'd advise you to dive in to the deep end and start swimming!
