Cant answer your question, but I can tell you that for me, being an alcoholic has proven to be a blessing. I have received so many gifts in recovery. Things I could never have planned for myself.
Its a corny saying, but remember, "Its always darkest before the dawn"

Welcome. You're in the right place to find answers.

I stopped asking myself "why". The question i am trying to answer is "what am I going to do about it".

Willie - welcome! I wish I could answer the question of why - I'd probably be a very rich woman! But you will find a lot of support here, and that is truly priceless.

Welcome to this website! Although I too, don't have an answer for you, what I do know is that you will find a lot of thoughts and information from people who can relate to you as we have been through what you have been through too! It's nice to not have to be alone anymore.
