Codeine withdrawal.

Hi...I have been taking codeine now for 2 yrs and am addicted.I currently take 300mg per day,and have now decided to go clean.I tried this some months ago but the aching limbs, nausea and insomnia were too much to bear.
Today I have made an appointment with my GP and hope he can help me.Im very nervous about going and what he is going to say and do.Thursday morning is my appointment and im dreading it but I cannot carry on with this addiction any longer,I want to feel normal again and not dependant on this drug.
I so wish I had never started taking them.I have lied to my wife and daughter for too long now and it isnt right.I shall post again after I have been to see him.!!

Good luck on Thursday, good positive step, that's the first move, admitting the problem and seeking help, keep coming back and be positive.

Well done. Defo a move in the right direction. You will get it sorted and it won't be anything the GP hasn't heard before.

Be good to hear how you are getting on.

Nice one!

Stu.
