Hurrah, its getting easier
Hurrah, its getting easier
Hello all,
Day 22, and last night I went out to a Birthday in a bar in London with friends. I was dreading going beforehand. However it was so much easier than the last time I was out.
I think I've learnt two things.
1) I really don't like places where everyone is packed in like sardines. It didn't bother me too much when I was drunk, but I feel distinctly uncomfortable when sober. Last night was a bar with plenty of space and it felt good.
2) Out with friends sober is a new experience. Like most things new, of course I'll feel anxious beforehand and during. However it will get better with practise. Its not like learning to ride a bike again, its like learning to ride a Segway.

DIYman, I know!!! I also realized I tolerated situations because I was so blasted I just didn't care. Glad the cravings are getting easier to deal with, that does make it so much harder. Glad you're here today.
