On the cover of People this week-Sexy and Sober at 45! Didn't know he was one of us...great little story...always good to read about about someone who has made it through to the other side. And boy did they get the title right, sexy doesn't cover it. Inspiring.

I've been to Nashville and let me tell you, not an easy place to be sober! Good for him. Its hard enough to be normal and sober. I couldn't imagine a star of his caliber. It just seems like it would be harder.

He's a country music star and does some acting.

I saw the magazine at the supermarket and wanted to grab it but didn't. My mom gets People magazine so ill get it from her. I remember reading a story awhile back about how him and Kenny Chesney were out getting drunk and stole a police horse or something? Anyway can't wait to read it!

I read that and it said he just recently quit drinking. I wonder how long ago because he got his abs back pretty darn quickly. He said he wasn't a beer drinker, more a whiskey drinker, and people were very worried about him so he quit. Sounds so simple when typed out in words, but the reality is that it is a very difficult major lifestyle change. Good for him!

Did anyone see him in the movie "Country Strong"? He played the sober husband of Gwenyth Paltrow, a famous singer who was drinking herself to death. Sad movie but a good reminder of what life we don't want to live.
