Day 1 (again)

Damn...went to a very sociable event last night and that was too soon. Ended up drinking and contemplated lying about that. I realise that I don't need to do that to myself. Put myself in circumstances that are too difficult and too soon in my recovery plan. Soooo I've turned down some invites to spending the weekend with friends in pubs, clubs etc. A weekend of TLC for me to get me to day three...

All too easy to do!
Just keep on trying to work a path that's good for you.
Keep on and it'll happen.

I've had so many day ones I couldn't possibly count them. You're not alone. Just try again.
Heck, I've been here over five years and have two years sober. It took me awhile.
Don't give up. You can do it.

Best to you.

Day 1, here also. I follow your trail.

I do not want to give up this fight.

If you surrender, fighting alcohol is no longer an option.

If you refuse to step into the boxing ring, there won't be a fight.
