Don't know if this has been done before or not, but I thought it would be cool to start a thread where we could state how many days we have sober, then list some of the things (small or large) that you've seen get better in the short time you have been sober. Hopefully this can help someone on day 1 see what good can happen even in a short amount of time.
6 days. Haven't woke up thinking oh **** what the hell did I do last night, no embarrassing feeling about what I've said or done to anyone. Feel like exercising more rather than eating rubbish, not spent any money at all on booze, haven't had to ring or text people apologising for my drunken behaviour and generally feel good. Oh an made plans to actually do something on a Sunday rather than spend the day in bed dying

23 days and so far:
1. I've seen my focus return. I'm in school working on my bachelors degree and last semester was so hard. I blew everything off and barely managed to finish all my work/projects. This semester I'm definitely more on top of things. When I'm bored I do schoolwork instead of drinking to avoid it- it's amazing how I didn't get that before!
2. I haven't really lost much weight, but I'm no longer bloated all the time and my pants that I was squeezing into actually almost fit! lol
3. I don't need a nap EVERY afternoon.
4. I smile a whole lot more just because.

Im at 94 days. I have copied this straight from a reply to Lionhearted1 back in December:
Freedom
Peace
Inner calm
No more sweating all over
No more pounding heart
No more letting down people because I'm too hungover
Less guilt
More meaningful conversations with others Clearer eyes & skin
Sweeter smelling breath and no more crazy weird body odour
Much more money left at the end of the month Weightloss
Depression lifting
Feels like there are more than 24 hours in a day AND I sleep loads
Better sleep
More effective at work (and I was pretty darn good before)
My mind is free to make plans/read/think without constantly thinking about alcohol
Happier

I'm on day 8 and my clothes are loose and my husband said my butt looks good. Beer (alcohol in general) bloats me so so bad, only one day of binging and I will look like a completely different person, swollen.
i'm not quick to snap or get upset over something so dumb like my kid dropping crumbs while she eats toast. I don't mind that stuff anymore (or at least as of now)
I am calm. I am happy. I am sober.

Definitely sleep better - wake up feeling rested and happy for a new day - this is my favorite change so far in being sober.
Eyesight has improved.
Many moments over the course of the day where I just feel happier and enjoy the small things - even say hi to people in line at the store, etc. (which sometimes gets a startled reaction as people in L.A. usually keep to themselves).
I've nicknamed myself "Les Miz" because I'm all around less miserable. (If I had to sit through that film, though, I'd be VERY miserable - lol).
More productive and getting more stuff done instead of wasting time boozing.
No physical changes so far - haven't lost weight or anything, but don't really have any to lose, and have been eating a lot of sugar so I need to get off that.

Day 18, my moods are consistent and I have a general optimism about my life. I'm spending quality time with my 2 little boys and I'm sleeping so well. I used to wake up every hour and look like hell in the morning. Now I go to sleep at 10 and wake up at 4, hop on my treadmill and start my day planning all of the things I'm going to accomplish. Life is great right now.
I'm a bit over a month and I think that the most noticeable thing is my mood. I'm not all over the place anymore and my antidepressants are finally getting a fair shot at helping me.
Pretty much instantly I became much more patient and confident.
I can't believe that I waited so long to stop. Smh.

I am a lot chattier.... Before my evenings were spent watching the idiot box and slowly drinking myself into oblivion alone before dragging my lonely old carcase to my pit.
Now I have my sis round, my son chats with me, I pop to my friends and my mums for a chat in the evening, or I gab on the phone to my neice or my daughter at uni.
They just can't shut me up!haha

Day 38 here.
-more patience
-more logical/rational thinking
-eating healthier/drinking water
-sleeping better, though it's still broken sleep
-more stable moods
-general feelings of well-being
-not so angry/angsty/depressed
-saving a lot of money, but able to treat myself in other ways
-more meaningful interactions with people
-less bloated and puffy
-more productive at work and home
-motivated to better myself in various ways
I am hoping my short term memory gets better, my sleep patterns even out, and I lose some weight. All are things that I am sure will work themselves out.
There more benefits, but these are off the top of my head at 6:45am.
