I don't join the classes or participate in the chat rooms, but I like to think that drinking/using has become less of issue of obsession for the people that we don't hear from anymore. I hope so. One doesn't want to think about this stuff for the whole life. I don't want to, but I'll let you all know when it's time for me to move on and thank you for all your support. In fact, I thank you all right now.
My ultimate goal is to not have to think about this any more than remembering someone who bullied me in high school. Those wounds have long since healed, and I'm looking forward to the day when my chemical dependency is a thing of a distant past, like a love that didn't work out that I can laugh about as water under the bridge and be thankful that it didn't end up as bad as it could have if I had tried desperately to hang on to it.

Hey fdm!
I'm on day 5, just reading posts this morning and saw yours. Bud, if you need support, holler at me here. I'm new at this, but learning and growing everyday. We can do it bro, just hang in there.
Anything else got you down?
