New and still on edge
Hi everyone, I'm Angela. I wanted to join up as I came across this forum and thought it would be a great way to get some support in my efforts to stay sober. A few years back I started becoming a drinker, a smoker and realized I needed to take a turn for the better when I started thinking about other things as well to ease the stress. Anyway, looking forward to making the right change in my life. Here's to healthier choices! (Even though they still leave me a bit on edge...)

Glad you've decided to get sober! I remember being really scared at first just thinking about it, but I knew I had to do something because my drinking was only getting worse. This forum really helped me turn things around and I know you'll find the same kind of support and inspiration here that I did.
I found that after a week or so without drinking, I felt calmer than I had in years, so alcohol played a big part in my being anxious. Hang in there - you can do this!
