Go help someone. Do something small, anything. Get outside of yourself.

Coming here to share how you are feeling
and asking for help is a good way to help
stay sober in the moment of weakness.

Day 18 sober is a great beginning of a
bunch of one days at a time added together
to get you where you are today and a good
start on your recovery journey.

Be kind and not to hard on urself while going
thru changes in ur recovery life. We wont always
be on that pink cloud because that is the way
life is normally. We go thru ups and downs as
a way of growing and changing in recovery.

When you have a good day, embrace it, appreciate
it and be grateful for it. The rough days, be patiant
and positive because, remember that day too will
and shall pass.

When we get sober or clean our bodies, minds and
souls need to heal from all the damage we put them
thru. We abused them and posioned them for how
ever long we did and now we will need to get healthy
in all areas.

Take small steps each day and use the tools and
knowledge of recovery to help you on ur way to
a happier, freer life in recovery.

Going for a walk or to a yoga class always seems to help me.

Make yourself laugh heartily for one minute. Your body doesn't know it's fake laughter and apparently will release endorphins. I just heard about this and I can tell you, yep it works...I do feel better afterwards.

Exercise. Yet another way to have the body release endorphins.

How about knowing that you are someone to look up to for those of us just starting out. You have accomplished 18 days! I am only at 8... I hope I can be as strong as you have been this far!!

I admire you for reaching out for support and advice! When I get this way I either dive in to something to keep myself busy or I jump in to my comfy bed and call it a day. The best peace of advice I could give is to make healthy decisions and don't drink no matter what!
