venting!
I've been trying to talk with someone from unemployment for 3 hours and 51 minutes! Argh! Im trying to find out when/how I will start receiving EUC, and apparently so is the whole state of NJ! Avoiding my unemployed status and being broke we're two big reasons why I drank so much, but so far no urges. And because of that I can smile after hearing the same 2 songs loop over and over while on hold for nearly 4 hours... lol

I took (the wrong) buses to apply for utility assistance in early recovery, today, I haven't had a gas bill since July (I received financial help and when I finally received my unemployment money, I put down a deposit, so I'm paid in advance and won't have a bill for another month).
I learned a lot about keeping my electricity bill down, too! Amazing how unplugging some unused items (until needed) can reduce a bill.
While you were on hold, several people in the same situation were being helped, so you'll get your time, too!

Finally got through after 5 hours. Talked to quite possibly the nastiest woman I've ever talked to in my life. She came on the phone with an attitude! I can appreciate that you have a sucky job and probably fight with people all day long, but geez lady learn to meditate or something! Long story short I'll start getting payments again next week, but wow she frazzled me! Thats a weight off my shoulders though and I'm more relieved than anything, so I know I'm going to make it through day 20
