one more losing the battle
My AHs brothers in I.C.U, He is an alchoholic like my husband, but for the last 3 years is also dealing with diabeties,he went on a binge with the hard stuff and now has come closer to death than any time before.as my husband is telling me this he guzzling his beer, mind you its early afternoon,and telling me he is close to death and says if the doctors told me if I drink I will die, I would Quit drinking,I ask if your wife says she will leave if you get drunk, hes says at least I will be alive,The mind of an alcoholic is so unpredictable, you never the the answers to the questions you ask, of course i set this one up for diappointment,oh well my life gose on anyway, Ill just keep keeping myself happy .

They will continue until they lose everything...and sometimes even then. My XAH was an all day long drinker. I took our kids and left 2 1/2 years ago now. He became homeless...went to jail and didn't see his kids for months...got out of jail after 6 months sober and went straight to the liqour store. Sometimes the only bottom is death.
