This has to get easier
Yup.....it does suck. However, as much as getting sober sucks, the end result of achieving sobriety and a life with peace and serenity is worthwhile. I'm almost 3 months and still have challenges but I find a lot of support and suggestions on SR! Find support and don't be afraid to seek medical attention while you detox should you need to.

Doing ok. Just a bit of the shakes, nothing too bad. Thanks for asking. 15 yrs of drinking every day since the age of 18. Drank when i was happy, drank when i was upset, just always drank. I really appreciate this site. I have been a lurker for about 6 months. Today just happened to be the time to join
I'm right there with you, but like everyoun else had mentioned it gets better much better. Time seems to slow down a bit when your in early recovery. Take this time to make some journal entries or some notes on how crummy this expirence is. You can always go back and read what you wrote if your thinking of drinking or feeling weak. hang in there! keep posting.
to the family! Early recovery can be a 'bumpy road' for a while but it does smooth out after a month or so. Just don't drink or you'll be back at square one and have to start all over again, and that's no fun.
