And

I found a sponsor, who is an ATHEIST!

So, whoever says atheists and AA don't jive, well, it worked for me!

The lady who gave me my chips, almost made me cry. I walked up and asked her if she had any 24 hour chips....4 of them? She stared at me. I said "...or ya know, 1 is okay if you don't have 4..." She JUMPED UP and hugged me and shrieked with *pure joy* "You are AMAZING!!!! 4 days?!!!! Isn't it so much better on the other side????"

Yes, yes. It really really is.

HereIAm321, my sponsor was a Christian and I'm an atheist, I do not believe, but I really love Buddhism and that for me is a good spiritual ground of which to live one's life.

My sponsor was awesome and we worked well together considering that big difference. Hope you two continue to jive.

Seriously, I almost started tearing up. She was so full of joy at my 4 days. In my mind I was thinking "only 4 days so far....." But she made me feel like a million bucks. What's more, it was GENUINE.

You don't need to believe in God to appreciate a blessing.

So wonderful for you--really! I hope this turns out to be just what you need.

There's something so comforting about playing with the chips in my pocket. I like that it's tactile....

There's kind of a hole on one side of them.

You can put stuff there. Other people can put good stuff there for you to use later, or you can put bad stuff there to get rid of it.

So here's some good stuff for your coins... I posted a shorter version of this a while ago, and you said you liked it. Here is the entire quote:

"She (the author) learnt from her Eders that everything in the universe is perfect. People and everything else only become less than perfect when compared to someone or something else, or when influenced by negative forces."

--Rangimarie Turiki Pere, Maori Writer

In Western culture we are taught to understand ourselves and our world by comparison, contrast, dualism, and similarity. It is difficult for us to even imagine that the way other people think and the thinking processes themselves differ from our own.

Imagine the shock of discovering that the majority of people in the world do not use the same thinking processes we do! In fact, in some circles, the use of comparison, contrast, dualism and similar forms of thinking are linked with schizophrenia and addictive thinking processes.

If everything in the universe is perfect, I don't need to compare myself or anything to anyone or anything else. I'm learning to accept people and things as they are. The way I have been taught to think affects me more than I realize.
