suddenly single
I have recently seperated from my addicted husband. We were together for 7 years, and all 7 years I have been co-dependant. I have just figured that one out and am realizing some of my behaviors were because of it. Two weeks ago he threatened to kill himself in front of me. He came towards me with a knife and I was scared to death and the week after that i let him come and stay with me and the kids, now if thats not insanity I dont know what is. I have been doing well as long as he stays away, and I think I have some boundaries to make clear but things are already looking brighter. I plan to be here alot and hopefully get the support I need.

Welcome, Singlemom!!! This is an excellent place to come and get some support!
It's so good that you're realizing what you need to do for you and your kids, and that you're taking the necessary steps to make sure you are safe. Keep it up- you sound like you're on the road to a peaceful recovery!

Welcome to SR.
Come on in and take a look around. We're full of support here. We get it by the truck louds. There are some real good suggestions by smoke gets in your eyes at the top of the forum.
