I am doing my 4th currently and I am having trouble coming up with resentments towards myself, I had no issues with listing them for others....

give it time, they will come...believe me they will. Maybe think of how you may have harmed others and what trait you have that may have caused you to do so....

Why would someone who is run on self-centeredness to begin with, list resentments on self in the 4th step?

It's about resentments towards others.....then we look at our side of the street.......

My experience was that through the process of the remaining steps, all resentments towards myself were eliminated. I received forgiveness for myself as I cleaned up the wreckage and forgave others.

I would pray around this and perhaps talk to some other people in the fellowship about their experience. I imagine this post will be getting moved to the 12-step section in a bit where you will get the best replies.

I ditto that.

I resented that how self I was and didnt even know it.

I resented how much I cheated myself of "real life" for so long(decades).

I resented myself the most, much more than people, places, and insitutions..

but this is why you talk with your sponsor.. !!!

Then don't put yourself on the list. I can't say I ever really resented myself...

Now... did I wish I were different in some way? Like MI, did I resent I cannot drink like the other 90%...

Well, then I can start there... I resent that I cannot drink like other people and that affects my.............. ?

I heard a sponsor say to one of the guys "When was the last time you thought about killing yourself". He said "On the way over here".
