Familyman goes to jail..
Familyman goes to jail..
Today is finally the day I have it seems to to go to jail. Been sober going on 5 months so it seems so long ago but I must pay the consequences. I spent some time thinking about it during the weekend and I am good with it. Just another tool in my ever expending toolbox to keep me sober and appreciate all that I have in my life.
If you do not hear from me for awhile you know where I will be. Hopefully I will get work release but so far they have not told me much.
Do you think they have a gang in jail for sales managers?? Sound like a rough bunch

Prayers your way man. Maybe try to catch up on some reading or something.
They say that the anticipation is usually worse than a little jail time. Hope so. Maybe there's someone else there that could use your help.
All the best.

5 months is awesome and your attitude is wonderful as well.
Well most sales managers should be in jail, at least the one's I have worked for so I am sure you are not the only one. Sorry I just could not resist giving you a hard time.
I know a bunch of professionals that have done time and they all have said, "The reality is no where near as bad as what they had imagined."
This is just another step on your road to recovery. One that is necessary and one the will cause you to grow. It will strengthen your sobriety and that is never a bad thing.
Let us know when you are back and live a day at a time.

Thanks for the support. I am sure 40 days will go by fast. More like 30 with good time. It will be another experience I can share with people, especially those new to sobriety. I hope to get a lot of reading done if they have books. I am only allowed to bring 3 pairs of tighy whitey's, 3 white t-shirts and a bible. Sounds like my kind of party!!
I will pray for you guys while I am in there, especially those new to recovery that are struggling a bit. Hang in there.

The sales manager gang may not have really cool tattoo's but we do have nice pocket protectors!!
I hope they have the Big Book in jail but it not I have a lot of work to do on that 4th step yet anyway. That moral inventory can get tricky.
I will submit my jail review when I get out. Thanks again.
