A Thank-You to the Newcomers

This is just a thank you for everyone who posts in this forum. Especially the people who are just starting out on the journey of recovery. Being able to read and reply to your posts helps keep me and others clean and sober. It doesn't matter how much clean time you have. You are always helping someone when you take the time to reply to a thread and give your opinion and advice.

wow, that almost made me cry. I've been on a major binge for a long time, and appreciation is not waht I have been getting.

that's so sad that I am that needy

I wasn't able to get clean until I found this site. So this place has helped me tremendously. Mostly it serves as a constant reminder of how fast it can all slip away with just one drink.

This is so true.. Just a constant connection with people who are going thru and pushing thru the same struggle as me is something i need this time around.

I have tried support groups and tried meetings but i am just socially awkward to begin with... And it was a bit overwhelming.. But this site allows me to heal with complete strangers and i think its a great start on the road of my recovery

-day 4

Good stuff, Natom

I'm not sure what would happen if I stopped coming here, and I don't want to find out. It's meant the world to me to be able to open up and be myself.
