Gave up drinking - now a (minor?) health scare

Stopped drinking New Year's Eve, Today I went in for annual physical and discovered I've lost six pounds in 6 months; 22 lbs over the past two years. Doctor has ordered a series of tests - including a liver function blood test

A friend of mine used to say "The Lord doesn't always pay on Fridays, but he always pays on time."

No - I don't know what the hell he meant either, but I am really hoping for the best.

I'm sure you'll be fine Scotty. It's natural to loose a bit of weight when quitting, or drinking for that matter, and isn't always an indicator of something serious. Plus we should all be having liver function tests done

I hope it all comes back fine for you x

Just pray (if you're the praying type) and think seriously about staying sober. I'm 73 days and feel awesome! But - I did have mild pancreatitis when I was only 28 - but it was reversable.
