Went on a bender last night

.....started drinking at about 3pm yesterday, and was up through 10am this morning. Then slept for a while.

This withdrawal is going to be hell.

I'm sorry about the bender you two went on. I lived like that for years.
Sapling has a point. What are you willing to do differently to change and save your life?
I was so far gone I was willing to try anything. AA works for many. You'll meet people who know exactly where you're coming from. There are other programs, too.

Next time, try thinking that first drink through to the end and the misery it'll bring you. I could never have just one. Once I started drinking all bets were off.

I've been where you two are so many times. I feel for you and thank you for the posts to remind me of what's out there just waitng for me.

Keep posting and best to you both.

So, what are you going to different today and everyday from here on in?

Without change, you can generally expect to repeat a pattern of behaviour.

Yeah?

Well I am only 8 days but I have to agree with Ghostlight and Xune. I needed to come up with a plan as well.

Yes a plan is good as i didn't really have one when I first quit and of course said I can do it on my own. Ummmmm no I couldn't. Sometimes I think I wanted to do it on my own so that I could make an excuse to drink again. I don't kid myself I know that I will always be one drink away from that hell again.

Dust yourself off and continue on. Find something that works for you.

Did you have any sober time before the bender? What will you do to change the behavior that just occurred?

The one thing I need is a sponsor. I have plenty of people that drink in my life... I need one good non drinker in my life that knows alcoholism.

Thats my start.
