Thanks for having me, and for being here.

Hi all...I'd like to thank those responsible for this great community. I've struggled with drug and alcohol for a long time. I've had various degrees of success, but ultimately very little success. This time around I'm trying to do things the right way. Yes, I am powerless, and yes, I am now going to be honest. Thats all for now..Thanks again.

Welcome Jmcad! I was telling my alcohol advisor about this site and she told me she has never had a client use an online forum for support, Im so glad i found this place!! it gave me the inspiration to come clean and get help and now I've finally took the plunge its a great source of support.

Glad you found us - I felt the same way when I discovered this forum. I think I finally realized I wasn't getting anywhere on my own. This place still inspires me every day.

Yes we are all powerless over alcohol and anyone who says they aren't are in the wrong place or they have doubts and are in the right place and need further convincing.

Today I know and accept I cant drink, and I actually have no desire to drink. A very different case to when I first gave up it was what I thought about most of the time, to be free of the obsession is fantastic.
Keep reading and posting, I come here at least once a day as part of my program for staying sane and sober.
