My holiday without Alcoholics!
2009, My last x-mas with AH now X, was miserable, he was drunk 24 eve, x-mas day he was so drunk he couldn't drive so I had to go to a gas station to buy him buzz! I cried and implored my HP to take the pain away from me, that day my best friends came to console me and my AH kicked them out of the house, it was awful!.
2012 my holidays have been amazingly wonderful, no stress, plenty of laughter, gifts, and finally really nice people and new GOOD memories, family reunions without drama, no expectations but to enjoy the holiday and have fun.
New years dancing and enjoying my new relationship with a "normal" person that loves me, appreciates me, respects me and let me be "me".
I don't know what or how my axh is doing now but really wish him the best and I am very grateful he had the courage to leave!...
God did for me what I could not do for myself!!
Hope all of us have a better year and that we can heal from this horrible disease of addiction!
