A little light on day 2
Today is day 2 for me. Just wanted to say thanks for this great commmunity (wouldn't have made it through last night without) and that there have been some moments today where a bit of light has crept in. Still scared and anxious but today I don't feel like it's completely impossible like I did yesterday.

Good to hear it, ddrayer! That's how it was for me, too..... just flickers of hope and moments of feeling better at first. It took a couple weeks for me to start to trust that I really could get sober. Each day I didn't drink made me just strong enough to face the next one.
You can do this...... Just keep it simple and take it a day or an hour at a time, whatever's manageable!
