Bit of a Set back.

No not what you are thinking!

Felt a bit off yesterday (1/1/13 )and after a hot evening bath I broke out in a cold sweat along with nausea/dizziness. It didn't last long.

I'm no spring chicken but still looking to some quality sober time.

More positive this morning and soon off to the gym to pump some iron.

Any older members had possibly drug/alcohol related s/effects some time down the track. Had been going very well prior to this..

Agree with Anna it could just be a virus or flu.

I'm in the UK and winter vomiting bug (norovirus) was a nightmare for my family leading up to Christmas. Even though we'd stopped with the named, it took a good 7 days to feel well again.

You're still human like everybody else and bound to pick something up. Don't feel too down because of it, it may not be anything to do with your recovery at all.

Hope you are still on the up and feeling better

Thanks everyone. As a recovering person with an addictive personality, I think we tend to look for ongoing comfort. This is something that reality just isn't about. I am feeling much better today.

I think we also get spooked easily, knowing what we've done to our bodies. We keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. My dad survived cancer and was the same way. He used to tell me that every time he had a pain anywhere he was afraid it was the Big C coming back to finish him off!

Anyway, glad you're feeling better.

It sounds like a joke but I really think my immune system got used to a bad diet, lots of booze and cigarettes...

when I quit...I got sick.
It seems to be a pretty common thing too, Murchovski.
