New Year's Day
New Year's Day
Just how fantastic does it feel to wake up this morning without a hangover?
Without any shame about my behaviour last night?
Without having to check my phone for all the messages I may have sent in blackout?
Wow!
Happy 2013 everyone xxx

Hi jeni26
Me too. Never not had a drink on New Year's Eve since time began !
My second day sober for years. And remember we have not had a drink since last year! Lol
Lets keep it up, one day at a time sweet Jesus !

Well I'm 7 months sober so am pretty used to being hangover free... But New Years day?
That's a first!
I'm so grateful to be sober.
For all those struggling with a hangover, take the leap of faith.
A sober life is worth all those early struggles.
Take it from someone who knows ...
Best wishes to you all xxx

Me too. So grateful to wake up with out cotton mouth and sick.
I stayed home though all day relaxed and enjoy the fresh feeling. Even know where my wallet is and it has the same amount of money in it....
Love this sober life.....

Happy New Year from the USA! Guess I am the early bird.
Congratulations to everyone who was feeling the urge but made it through, nice work!
And if you picked up and are feeling bad about it, chin up--it's the first day of the New Year, good day for you to make a change for the better.

You're so right, Jeni. And Stewart, I know what you mean. When I drank in the past, I must have had a little magician following me around, waving his wand over my wallet and making the money disappear. What you all describe is the very definition of unmanageability in my life. Thanks for your remarks and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
