I'm with ya on the crab stuffed mushrooms and some steak....maybe a sweet potato and a few little party rye bread pieces.....Brussels sprouts or mixed veggies.......and some nice chilled filtered water. Milkshake made with frozen yogurt and skim milk....

Happy Sober New Year to You!

With love and hugs,

So it's day one for me and I've been pretty worried about how to get through NYE and now it's snowing so I won't drive to the store...but I love the idea of stuffed mushrooms and sauteed spinach.

I'll get hubby to stop at the store on his way home.

That sound good! I'm going out for dinner tonight and then I will probably read when I get back home. I will probably ring in the new year with my granddaughter if she can make it that long!

Just finished off the killer beef stew I made Saturday. Made with a bottle of non alcoholic red wine. Tastes great!

Odd combo tonight - broccoli salad - the one with bacon and cauliflower, sort sweet(?), bread pudding, peanut butter cups the ones they already have out for valentines day.
Lotsa decaf pepsi(my downfall in life). I couldn't part with the cash for meat today as dear child need some very good sneakers. Got the pup a bone and the kitties in barn a couple cans of their favorite food. They and he are very very happy.
---I LOVE any post that has food stuff in it. thank you Dub! xx

Hey Dub,

Glad you landed safely!

Im going to a meeting at 7 tonight. Our local Alano club has an alcothon going on from Noon today through Noon tomorrow. Im sure they will have Pizza and Tacos and stuff like that, but no stuffed mushrooms or steak Im afraid.

Our feast will be tomorrow during the Rose Bowl - Go Badgers!

I'm never passing up a thread that talks about food. Just getting ready to fire up the grill for lamb chops .....sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli with melted cheese on the side. And for dessert.....a Mardi Gras King Cake!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New Year, Dub! It can and will be a great one.

...and thanks for making me hungry for some decent food. Not much in the house but left over Christmas cookies & cold cuts.
