Excited to find you all
I am so excited today to have found this opportunity to reach out to others and find help and comfort.
I have been in a relationship with an addict for 11 years and it has been difficult and very confusing for me. I was very manipulated and had no knowledge of his extensive drug abuse until the past 4years. Even when I did find out he was and addict the level at which he was using has always been kept from me. On Nov. 30th he finally surrendered under his own will to moving into sober living house. I'm so proud of him and ready to start working on my own recovery as well. I know it is so important that I learn to let go of the past 11 years for myself. I hope that this paired with al anon meetings wil help me with that.
