Remember Regrets or Forget them?
In recovery is it "healthy" to remember those feelings of regret that got us to this point? For the first time since I've tried to get sober, there was no big event that got me to this point where I wanted to quit. Should I try to remember what got me here or move on?
your experiences can be put to use helping others.....when they feel like they are from Mars you can say, "I did that too, and I'm doin ok now"
i don't think it's constructive to get bogged down in remorse, but you can break the hard memories out when they'll help a newb

I don't know, regrets always made me feel guilty and bad about myself and those feelings always made me want to drink. I say avoid thinking about them til you're secure in your sobriety and deal with them then. Keep moving forwards x
I learned that its ok to revisit the past,
but don't dwell on them. We don't want
to close or shut the doors on them because
it does remind me, especially, that I dont
want to repeat those unhealthy, shameful
experiences again.
Forgive ones self for unheathy past behaviors
and learn healthier one to live by each day
your sober or clean.
