Update and some good news
Well, exRAH and I have been separated since March.
He lives across town, and while he still does not take our son for overnights, he is progressing and does keep a schedule with him. 2 weekday visits afterschool/one weekend day.
He is better about money, and does not "follow me around" anymore.
I have tried to date, but found myself involved with yet another recovering addict, who was very emotionally present, but his life is in shambles.
The good news there is I have been able to see clearly and make some plain boundaries, eventually stepping back to friendship.
Christmas was nice, mostly because I made some very clear plans and boundaries about exRAHs involvement, really accepted my position of no expectations, and in this way was surprised by his co operation and good cheer.
So, he is still sober, we are on better than good terms and my son gets to see his father on a good schedule.
I am lonely, but life is OK. And I am still working on finding an agent for my book.
