Day 3 and I feel a little better..
Day 3 and I feel a little better..
Today is my 3rd day of being completely sober from everything, and I notice a little bit of difference in my mood.
I noticed I have a lot less anxiety about going to work than I usually do.. On day 1 I completely felt like crawling out of my skin just thinking about working, and today I'm almost looking forward to it in a way..
I'm also a little more motivated to help out around the house.
I must admit/tell on my self, that I am tempted to use tomorrow night.. some people on my tumblr blog wanted to webcam on new years eve and trip at the same time.. it is so tempting, even though I'm already starting to feel better, why would I ruin it? I don't know maybe, someone on here will say something that will open my eyes a little wider..

Keep going jakec you are doing great.
Tomorrow night is going to be a tough one for sure, I plan on going to an aa meeting but different people will cope with it in different ways. Stay strong and don't give in!

Well done on 3 days Jake
I got through Xmas by isolating myself. It doesn't sound appealing but it is necessary sometimes. The month I had had I just couldn't trust myself and I wanted to spend my first sober Xmas my way, not white knuckling it through a drink fuelled celebration. Same goes for New year. If people are suggesting/pressurizing you into drinking/taking drugs then I would avoid them like the plague, even if it's just online.

It's your addiction talking to you, but you came here and posted - which is excellent! Come here and read when you feel like that - it really helps.
I agree with the others about staying away from as much temptation as you can. You DO want to get sober (or you wouldn't be here)! Just imagine how nice it would be waking up Jan 1 and knowing you've started the whole year out right.....
