Hand Tremors?

I'm 10 days sober from alcohol and am still noticing a slight tremor in my right hand. It's much better than when I was heavy drinking, but there nonetheless. Any ideas when / if it ever goes away?

Everyone is different..

But I was a bad shaker. And it usually took almost a month for it to really subside.

Although my doctor told me that I had done much nerve damage from drinking and would have slight tremors for a long time..

10 days is totally normal for some, but if your worried see a doctor and put your mind at ease..

Congrats on your days

Sounds like a good question for your Doctor. No?

I was very worried about tremors, but now my hands are rock steady. I can't remember how long it took to get better, but it's one more great reason not to take a drink.

Congrats on 10 days. I still shake at almost 3 mths...but I could have done some damage, who knows. It's a consequence and reminder of my former self.

Good for you for having ten days sober.

I hope that you talk to your dr if the tremors continue.

Congrats on ten days! It took me six months for all the odd things like that to heal. I was under the care of two docs and blood drawn monthly. My primary care gp was involved from before detox through to now more than 27 months later. I was a shaker too.

Mine was only slight and it is gone now, along with that annoying eye twitch I had while drinking!
