my daughter reading the big book this morning

Here is is how my day started. My daughter came over around 6am and was struggling with things. I hope shes ok. We ate and gifts etc later. Im a big fan of the big book, some arent thats ok. she sat with me and said can I read some things from my book. It was the big book! Thing is she was reading to herself, she goes to meetings every day, every single day. Hit me pretty good. a lot. I love her. what a blessing.

Reading the Big Book and going to meetings everyday....That's pretty much how I started my journey....Good for her!

Hey 2
I told her I want to. Im packing and moving next day or two. Need to get going. It was Christmas day and all, I did ask her if she would go to the noon meeting. I know many here dont like AA, Ive had nothing but good friends and positive outcomes from it. What one makes of the experience. Its people all there for the same reason. I told my sweet daughter, that book hasnt been around for 100yrs for no reason.

I don't think there are a lot of people here that don't like AA....Don't understand it...Maybe. I didn't really care who liked it or not....This was about saving my life...A year and a half without a drink later...So far it's working. Why is it working?....Because I accepted that my way didn't work...And I gave their way a try....An honest try.

I really hope things work for you Dub. 90 meetings in 90 days or your misery gladly refunded was one of my sponsors lines but it was true. I did more than 90 meetings in 90 days and slowly but surely AA did relieve the obsession of drinking from my life. Its not all peaches and cream but wow , I have a start and hope. I know I am no longer alone

I will accept some folks may not find a fit in AA and that is clear in How It Works. Lots of people may have some misconceptions or perhaps attended a meeting that was not the right fit and assumed all meetings are the same and never went back.
