I'm holding on to close out day 3 - it was a white knuckle day. I had about 9 days sober in November but the holiday killed me. But, I'm really just so disgusted with the amount of drinking, hangovers and weight gain that I want so badly to make this work this time.

Praying for 1hr at a time.

Quick question - anyone feel extremely bloated in the stomach area after quitting drinking? I've never really felt bloated while drinking and now I feel like a bowling ball has grown in my abdomen. It's very discouraging since its making my clothes tight! Sigh - cant win!

Good job on 3 days, Lulu. My whole body underwent changes. I had all sorts of weird things going on, but it all got better and I ended up feeling quite wonderful.

If you are worried about the bloated stomach, maybe you need to get it checked out. I don't think I had that particular problem after I quit - just while I was drinking.

Congratulations on surviving day three. Today was my 3rd as well - I wasn't sure I would make it but I did! Here's hoping our day fours are better!

The weird bloat feeling could be from the crazy amount of water I'm thirsty for, in addition to the food I want to eat every second!

Congrats on day 3!! My stomach is still talk crazy at almost one month drink free. I hear and read that it could take almost 6 months to a year to actually "feel" better down there. I hope it doesn't but facing sobriety is more important to me, and I'm sure you, than some stomach bloat-e-ness
