Three weeks today!

I cannot believe that I have made it this far! I'm reminding myself to be conscious of my increasing confidence around alcohol, not to let it take me into situations I'm not ready for. Know your limits, Rosie! That's what i keep thinking

I def felt the early euphoria of getting past a couple whole weeks- I was going to the gym like nuts, my house was clean as ever, my energy and general well being was startling! But like you said, the confidence can make it easy to give in to a "reward". Stay strong.. I've restarted a third time in like 6 weeks. But for what it's worth, it seemed to take a lot less drinks for me to feel poisoned. Kind of a positive maybe, cuz it really feels NOT good so much by now. 2 days fresh for me! best wishes to you!

Thanks everybody! I'm really pleased to have hit three weeks. When I get to a month I'm going to quit smoking, too.

Hey SoberRo ,
I spent the first couple of months in "lockdown"... get to work , do shopping then cook housework and then go to bed .. everything else could wait untill i felt strong enough to not worry about staying sober facing pressures like other people and places . It got me through .
Sounds like you know what your limits should be for the moment , thats great .

Bestwishes, M

Well done SobeRo. I'm 30 days off alcohol and benzos, after more than 35 years using them. Don't think you can't because you can. Psyche yourself up every morning.
